Helen Navarro, 55, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on November 12, 2003 at Truman Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial will be private. Visitation service will be from 6:00-8:00 on Sunday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Ms. Navarro was born on February 12, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri and had lived in the Kansas City area all of her adult life. Her parents, Ben H. Alvarez and Julia Sanchez Alvarez as well as 5 brothers, Benny, Phillip, Don Carlos, Eugene and John preceded Helen in death. Helen leaves to mourn her death one son, Joseph Anthony Castro, and his wife, Angela; one daughter, Milena (Kachi) Parra, and her husband, Fred; 6 brothers, Rudolph, Alfred, Anthony, Arthur, Steve and Victor; 6 sisters, Virginia, Amelia, Evangeline, Elizabeth, Julia Ann and Diana as well as 5 grandchildren, Angelica, Adrian, Julian, Emiliano and Aztlan.
