Henrietta Williams, age 93, passed away on October 3, 2011 at her residence at Grand Court in Overland Park. Her husband, of 47 years, Bill Williams predeceased her in 1992. She leaves two sons Scott Williams and his wife Doris of the Washington DC area and Rex Williams and his wife Lorie of Ventura California. Also five grandchildren Matthew, Ryan, Lacey, Carley, Olivia and two great grandchildren Tatum and Cameron. Mrs. Williams was born in Oakland, California and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to Kansas City in 1945 and lived in the Johnson County (KS) from 1953 until her death. She worked for Dr John Griffith and other doctors in the Plaza area for over 30 years and continued working in Johnson County until she was in her eighties. She was known as “Henri” to her many friends and as “Gram” to her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was deeply loved and admired by her entire family and friends. She was an exceptionally positive and joyful person who loved people and spread joy to everyone she met. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Grand Court, 6101 W. 119th St., Overland Park, KS on Friday, October 7, at 11:30 a.m. Private burial in Mt Moriah Cemetery South next to her husband, Bill.
