

Herb was born on January 29, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri, to his parents, Walter Clark and Marie Clark (Shirk).
Herb was predeceased in death by his parents, Walter and Marie Clark, and his sister, Linda Pummill.
He is survived by his children, Beth Baldwin, Jenny Everson (Scott), Steve Clark (Iris), Grandchildren, James Taylor, Andrew Taylor, Jacob Pine, Brianna Pruitt, Mitchell Clark, Natalie Clark, four great grandchildren, and his brother and sister in law, Robert and Donna Clark.
After Herb graduated from Southeast High School in 1955, he went on to join the Air Force, where he served in Libya and Greece until 1958. He then went on to serve in the Air Force Reserves until June, 1963. After Herb’s military service, he went on to a career in the computer programming field, retiring as a Systems Analyst/Database Administrator for Universal Underwriters in 2002.
Herb also spent 30 years working for the KC Chiefs as a toll booth attendant. He always loved his Chiefs and Royals.
Herb spent most of his life very active with various sports. He loved playing basketball, golf, tennis, and softball. He also loved traveling, and after retirement he continued his traveling to Mexico and Key West, Florida, where he loved hanging out with his friends on the beach and watching the pretty girls. He also stayed active with sports, gardening, and going to breakfast with his daughters.
A celebration of Herb’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 12, at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
