Herbert Copple also known as Herbie or Dean was born March 7th, 1938 in Kansas City Mo to Ralph and Sarah Copple. He attended Shawnee Mission North high school and went on to enlist in the Army and then to the Army Reserves. He was a master mechanic at TWA for 29 years.
Herbie had many hobbies throughout his life. He loved going to car races, traveling, playing pool, riding motorcycles, hunting and gardening. He would plant over a hundred tomato plants every year and was known as the tomato man to all his family, neighbors and friends. He spent over 20 years traveling to Arizona to spend the winter months with his longtime girlfriend Nancy Armstrong.
He was an active member of the Masonic Home of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both brothers Justin and William and his fur baby – Toby
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Trustwell living in Mission Springs as well as Ascend hospice for their compassion they provided Herbie.
A graveside service for Herbert will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
