

Hilaria “Larie” Hulda Timko, 90, of Indep., Mo., passed away September 25, 2016. Visitation will be Thurs., Oct. 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. (Rosary at 6 p.m.). Mass will be Fri., Oct. 14th at 11 a.m. Both visitation and mass will be at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 10017 E. 36th Terrace Indep., MO.
Larie was born Dec. 3 1925, in Fordyce NE. She spent her childhood years in Crofton, NE. She moved to Kansas City in the 1940’s and met the love of her life - George. Moving to Independence, they raised 5 children and were active members of Nativity Church. Larie was a member of the altar society and volunteered for many church activities.
Mom loved to laugh and make others laugh. Her fun loving spirit and amazing perseverance in difficult times has been an inspiration to us all. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eleanor Lange, her husband George, her brother Don Lange, her sister Erna Nield, and son, James Timko. She is survived by her son George J. Timko Jr. wife Pam “P.J.”, Pam Haefele husband Jerry, Jackie Doutt husband Greg, Patti Lewis husband Bill, sister Marcy Hicks, brothers Irvin and Harvey Lange, grandchildren: George J. Timko III, Bryan Timko wife Nicole, Jeff Timko wife Serena, Jamie Smithson husband Rob, Scott Haefele, Tanner Doutt, Kristopher Doutt and great grandchildren: Allison Timko, Jameson Timko, Xander Timko, Cooper Smithson, Maddox Smithson, and Parker Smithson.
