Hortensia I. Camareno, 77 of Kansas City, KS died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Providence Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. ( Rosary at 9:30 a.m.) on Monday, June 2 at All Saints Catholic Church, 229 S. 8th Street, KCK. Entombment will be in the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, KCK. Visitation Sunday from 5:30-8 p.m. (Rosary at 6 pm) at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, KCMO. The family requests plants be sent for the funeral instead of flower arrangements .
Hortensia was born June 5, 1936 in Mexico to Jose Enrique Ferreiro and Maria Dolores Diaz Ferreiro. She was a homemaker to her husband and six children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Valentino Camareno; her parents and four sisters. Hortensia’s survivors include two sons, Joel Camareno and wife Bety and Valentino and wife Stacey; four daughters, Maria Catano, Hortensia Medrano, Berty Cabral and Martha Ramirez; and one sister,Hortensia Frayre; 23 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
