

Isaac Bangenda-Banga Bashimbe, age 68, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. He was born on October 03rd 1956, Ibanda, Ngweshe (DRC). To parents Magala Baha Bashimbe and Margaret M’mukenyuza. He is the first born out of 10 siblings Angelique (deceased), Rachel, Manou (deceased), Stany, Sylvain, Dieudonne, Ntako, Gaspard, Sifa (deceased), Kulondwa (step brother). Isaac loved nature and had an artistic skills of drawing trees, houses, and birds. Isaac was Baptized at 11 years old and since then his faith in God never wavered. He relied on God with everything all through his life. While being an introvert and soft spoken, Isaac connected well and got along with everyone. Pierrot Burhole was a cousin and best-friend including Fabien Chidandali, and (late) Fabien Chiza. Isaac graduated from high school and college in the Business/Trade (Institute Alfajiri) Bukavu, Zaire. USAID (Project Implementation Courses) Nairobi, Kenya. Consular Workshop (Foreign Service Institute) Arlington, Virginia. In which it advanced his early years of federal employment. Age 22, he became an interpreter/translator in Tanzania Embassy for a year. Isaac then earned 12 years (1981-1993) as Administrative Assistant in USAID ZAIRE around 32 years old and beyond while married to the love of his life (Viviane Buhira).
Later, they became a family of 6 with two boys (Alain and Gedeon) and two girls (Ariane and Rebecca) and godparents Papa Utshudi and Jackie Lumbu who helped him navigate the next chapter of his life. After ten years (1995-2005) as Consular Assistant at the U.S Embassy of DRC. Isaac had an opportunity to move his whole family to America where he met Lex and Liliane Namango, Joseph and Paula (late) Balegamire, Pastor Bigabwa, Pastor Olembo, and others from the Congolese community in Atlanta, Georgia. He also furthered his education at Iverson Business School for Legal Assistant. Bachelor of Business Administration at Strayer University and was a Member of National Technical Honor Society. Isaac and his family moved again (2014) this time in Kansas City, Missouri. For another (USDT) federal job (2014-2025) accumulated 11 years more of work experience and his final years of civil service. During those years he found a Harmony Vineyard church where practiced his faith and made more friendship along the way. At 60 years old he went for another degree, Master of Public Administration at Strayer University. Isaac always strived for excellence and great work ethic in which was recognized during his 34 years of service at various federal agencies. With achievements and awards that were well-deserved as he evolved throughout his career. Despite that Isaac remained modest and had a quiet confidence because he knew nothing would be possible without the creator. Isaac always credited the Almighty by stating ‘To God be the glory’ for all accomplishments workwise or life.
Isaac was godly-man, husband, father, gentleman, intellectual, diplomatic, kind, generous, quiet yet friendly, selfless. He was also a provider and protector of his family, father of 4 children raised them to be Christ-centered. Awesome grandpa of 3 adorable grandchildren (2 granddaughters and 1 grandson). Outside of faith, family, and work (Isaac) was a humanitarian he loved helping those in need. He donated to church or nonprofit organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse (International Relief), Give Clean Water, Life Outreach International, and Salvation Army that assists the vulnerable. His favorite Christian song Do Something by Matthew West, “it’s not enough to do nothing, it’s time… to do something” kept him inspired to always do good and share the love of God.
A visitation will be held from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on Friday, June 13th, 2025, at White Chapel Funeral Home (6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119). A funeral service will follow at 2:30pm. The burial will take place at the White Chapel Cemetery after the funeral service.
