J. Barbara Hopkins, 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, in Clinton MO, peacefully and surrounded by her family. She was born on December 30, 1931, in Pontiac MI. She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
Barbara was an avid gardener, spending her retired years creating beautiful landscapes and water ponds. What love was in her heart for her family, over-spilled into her love of gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Hopkins; two daughters, Brenda Wheatley and her husband David Wheatley, Sherry Briggs and her husband Kevin Briggs; one son, Michael Barnett; four grandchildren, David Wheatley and his wife Joyce, Rachael Wheatley, Joshua Briggs, and Brittney Briggs; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Wheatley, Johnathon Lewis, Logan Elges, and Nora Wheatley; one sister, Nell Bishop; one brother, Richard Parmenter and his wife Joyce. She was preceded in death by her son, William Alan Barnett.
