

Jackie was born on July 11, 1943 in Sedalia, Missouri the daughter of James and Hazel (Yach) Case. She graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Missouri. She continued her education at Central Missouri State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. After college, Jackie married her high school sweetheart, James D. Swope and they moved to Kansas City, Missouri to start their family.
After raising two sons, Jackie worked as a Supervisor and a Trainer at the Internal Revenue Service where she retired after 20 years of service. During her tenure she worked in both Missouri and Kansas. Her happy place was spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends, where, among other things, she enjoyed sharing a happy hour Margarita with anyone who would like to join her on her deck.
Jackie was a member of LIFT (Living Information for Today) since 2005 and was one of the founding members.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Case and her husband, James D. Swope.
She is survived by her sons, Kurt Swope and Chris Swope and wife, Allison, beloved grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ryan, Cecilia and Lucy, siblings, David Case and wife Joyce, Jerry Case and wife Karen, Judy Ragan and husband Tom and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to express gratitude to the community at Mission Chateau where Jackie spent her last five years. She made many friends there and was known as a competitive Mahjong and Rummikub player.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to a charity of your choice in her memory.
