Jacqueline Simone Smith (Jackie), age 76, died peacefully after a long illness. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on December 8, 1947 to Wyatt and Marcelle Hill. Jackie graduated from Hueneme High in Oxnard, California in 1966. She worked in California as an administrative assistant. After moving to Missouri, Jackie worked for the Department of Commerce, NOAA. She also worked for Community of Christ Church as executive assistant.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt and Marcelle Hill, her husbands Millard Smith and Carl Laber. She is survived by her daughter, Christina M. Smith; brother Jerry Hill (Eunice) of California; niece Rachelle Miller (Mike), nephew Wyatt Hill (Amalia), Carl Hill (Gaby), and friend Sharon Pierce.
Because of distance she missed her family, but enjoyed local road trips and the time she went to Belgium to see her Grandpa Requette.
A Memorial Service for Jackie will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 12 pm at Highlands Community of Christ, 7615 N Platte Purchase Dr, Kansas City, MO 64118 with inurnment the same day at 2 pm at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
