

Janet Siler, 80, danced into the Heavenly Garden on November 15, 2012. She was born on October 31, 1932 and was a lifetime resident of Kansas City, Missouri. Janet leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Frank Siler, whom she married on August 23, 1958. Her parents Vergil and Bessie Willis, sisters Judy Watson and Martha Fleming preceded her in death. She leaves behind her son Marty Siler and wife Debbie, her daughter Ann Laschober and husband Ron. Also survived by her grandchildren Ryan Laschober, wife Ashleigh, Jeff Laschober, Brittany and Luke Siler; as well as her niece Cheryl Perkins, the daughter of her late twin sister, and family Keith and children Dana and Audrey, nephews Trevor Watson, David and Rick Fleming and their families.
Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. She lived by faith and with a mindset of love, joy and kindness. She taught dance at Arthur Murray Studios where she met her husband. She also taught numerous children how to swim and led water exercise classes at the YMCA. She was a member of Country Club Christian Church and the Young Matrons.
A visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO on Monday, November 19, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The burial service will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery the following morning, November 20, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO at 12:00 p.m. and reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kansas City Hospice House or Country Club Christian Church.
