Jewell F. Guillou, 93, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away May 10, 2015. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Mr. Guillou was born January 2, 1922 in Lexington, Missouri, son of Louis A., Sr. and Mattie M. (Baldwin) Guillou. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, receiving a Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion. He had worked in roofing manufacturing at GAF Corp. Mr. Guillou was a handyman and loved to help people. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved his family and was very proud of his great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Guillou and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Guillou is survived by his son M.G. Thomas, Jr. (Wilma); grandson Tom Thomas (Gloria); grandson Joel Thomas; great-grandson; John Andrew Thomas; extended family and friends.
