Jimmie Lee Van Bibber, 88, of Independence, MO passed away Sept. 23, 2014. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Fri., Sept. 26th at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 10010 E. 40 HWY, Indep., with rosary recited at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Sat. at the church with interment following in Brooking Cemetery.
Jimmie was a proud Navy Veteran serving on the USS Wisconsin during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Lee and is survived by their sons, Mike (Loretta) & Gary (Cynthia); grandchildren, Nick, Elizabeth & Ben (Jessica) Van Bibber, Alicia Kern & Amber Van Bibber & great grandchildren Emma & Ryder Kern, Jameson & Brooklyn Van Bibber.
