Joan Slusher, 79, Kansas City, MO, passed away December 8, 2014 at Wexford Place. Joan was born November 24, 1935 in Kansas City, KS and lived most of her life in this area. She was a retired employee of the U.S. government. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Kathleen Higgins; her husband, Charles in 1985; brothers, Maurice, Charlie and Joe; and sisters, Kathleen and Betty.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 PM Thursday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 12th at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2203 Parallel; burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities.
Joan is survived by her son, Burke Slusher; and brother, Patrick Higgins.
