John Edward Albertson, 64, of Kansas City, Missouri, died on Saturday, September 19, 2009. A Service of Remembrance will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel. His urn will be buried in Bennett Cemetery, Keytesville, Missouri. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. at the chapel.John was born on July 21, 1945 in Keytesville, Missouri to Jack and Mary Jo (Rice) Albertson, who preceded him in death. John was a graduate of Westport High School. He served in the Vietnam War as an Army Ranger and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Post 317. He was jazz drummer and bartender, most notably at Milton’s. John’s survivors include his daughter, Lindsay Turner, Hesperia, California and her children, Ella and Evan; brother, Jerry Albertson of Euless, Texas; and his companion, Karen Jordan of Kansas City, Missouri.
