I knew John way back in 1961 and Summers while we each went to college. Along with Paul Firling and Allen Hague the four of us were known to each other as “Snake “. We had the best 5 years of friendship together.  And watching the Chiefs game I googled John and discovered the sad news of his passing two years ago. I knew John very well as we went through High School together in Jenkintown. I  remember him as a very happy and sweet, sweet person. I am so sorry that I was never able to contact him in spite of much effort. Because of my ineffectual efforts, he was lost to his classmates. I happened upon this obituary notice as I was once again searching for him.  My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all those who loved him.

Dear Jim, Jennifer and families,
Bob and I want to extend our deepest sympathy to you and are so sorry for your loss. We had planned to attend the services today, but the threat of icy roads and parking lot kept us away.  I have a lot of good memories of John beginning  with our early years in Washington, D.C., trips to visit his family in Pennsylvania and more frequent contacts after their move to Overland Park and later, when you and your family lived close to us in Stilwell..  We did not know he had moved back to this area and are so pleased he was able to be close to you and your families in recent years.  Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you.

To all of John's family & Friends, Children Jim & Jen ,We have been friends & neighbors with John & Jody for many years when they lived  in Ct. We are so sorry to hear of John's passing & send his family our love & prayers at this difficult time! . John was a very nice & giving man, he would always give our family what ever we needed, one time it was his car because we had family here and our car was to small for all of us!!! A helping hand , a smile or just to sit & have a laugh over a drink or two!! He will always be remembered with kindness & love in our hearts to all of us here on Bywatyr Ln!!
