John was born July 28, 1947 to Carroll Osborne and Frances Nadine (Noel) Watson in Salina, KS. He was a Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War. John received a Masters’ Degree while attending Northwestern University. He was a police officer and detective for the Chicago, IL Police Department for 28 years.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Woolard Johnsen; daughter, Angela, and granddaughter, Ariel; step-son, Bob; and sister, Carol Ann Scruggs.
A committal service will be held Friday, July 27 at 11:00 AM at the Missouri State Veterans’ Cemetery, 1479 County Road 1675. Jacksonville, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Midwest Transplant Network.
