

John Raymond “MHJM” Marsh Jr., age 60 passed away the 3rd of April 2017 at his home from Prostate Cancer. John grew up in Kansas City and attend Shawnee Mission South High School and then went on to be an SAE at KU. John’s professional career kept him in Sales for the world of Heavy Duty Truck Parts. He worked extremely hard and was proud of that fact that he was Salesmen of the year for many years running. John was preceded in death by his Father: John Raymond Marsh Sr; Mother: Priscilla Rea Marsh; Uncle: Joe Ronald Sample. Survivors include his children: Jessica and John III (JJ) both of Kansas City; Brother: Raymond Marsh (Mary) and his family of Arizona; The Mexico Crew and many other loving family members and friends. John will be remembered by all for his courage, strength, intoxicating personality and undeniable sense of humor! The world is a little less unique without the presence of MHJM.
Services:
We will be hosting an Irish Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 6 at Waterside Residences Club House at 8201 Quivira Road Lenexa, KS 66215. The celebration will begin at 5:00 PM and everyone is invited to stop by for a short while or a long while. In lieu of flowers we are asking that friends and family considering making charitable donations in John’s honor. Jessica’s charity of choice is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. She will be participating in their Bowl For Kids Sake annual fundraiser this July. Jessica has very fond memories of MHJM stopping by during the event and cheering her on. Every year they host an annual Blues and BBQ Fundraiser and John and MHJM would always volunteer on Saturday and work the beer truck, listen to some great music and help raise money for children and adults in need.
