John Raymond Morrison, 91, Leawood, Kansas, passed away at Overland Park Regional Hospital March 12. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to William Morrison and Virginia Bradley. He was a graduate of Westport High School and Lathrop Academy in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1943, John joined the U.S. Navy Seabees, serving in the Aleutian Islands, the Philippines, the Japanese Occupation, and the Navy Reserve. He retired in 1983 after 20 years as a machinist for TWA. He was a member of the Trinity Anglican Church in Prairie Village, Kansas City Theatre Organ Club, Kansas City St. Andrews Society, and a 50 year member of Scottish Rite. John was preceded in death by his parents, brother William A. Morrison, sister Marian Stinson, and first wife Bette (Minteer) Morrison. He is survived by his wife Clara Louise of Leawood, sons Ronald of Overland Park and Stephen (Monica) of Lenexa, step-son Cameron (Melinda Penca) Reed of Overland Park, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Funeral services will be Friday, March 16, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt.
