

David was born on January 30, 1958 in Pomona, California. A successful small businessman he owned a Gutter Cleaning and Repair Company for twenty years before becoming a truck driver for Elite Transportation, Oberg Freight, and JB Hunt. David had various jobs that allowed him to learn several skills he would still use from time to time surprising those around him to solve their problems.
David, was a member of the Armed Forces, having served among the United States Army in both Vietnam and Germany as a diesel (specialty Tanks) mechanic and trained paratrooper with the 82nd Air Born Division.
He found and married the love of his life on July 22, 2016 and enjoyed traveling at a moment’s notice, especially to Branson Missouri to partake in the wide options of shows yet favoring the “The Six Show”. He loved flying his radio-controlled helicopters on a warm sunny day with his friends and spending time with his son and grandson. David enjoyed telling stories of his adventurous life to all that would listen and go out of his way to include others on the journey.
The burden of a large heart and a will to save those around him from suffering, he would go above and beyond out of his way to show kindness to even strangers in line at a store. He never sought payment or honor for his choices and tried to the best of his abilities to follow the tenants of his faith.
He was preceded in death by his father John Dellro Pauley, his brother Mark Warren Pauley, his grandfather and grandmother Pauley and his grandfather and grandmother Claywell. He leaves behind, his wife Ellen Louise Pauley of Raymore Missouri, his mother Margaret Ann Pauley of Belton Missouri, his son Lucas David Pauley, his wife Samantha and grandson Malachi Alexander Pauley of Belton Missouri. His stepsons Ryan Allan Jewett and his wife Andrea of Wichita Kansas, Derrick William Jewett and Matthew Austin Jewett of Overland Park Kansas and his much-loved cat Sibble Rose Pauley.
