My dear friend I can't believe that you are called home. You are truly one of the good guys. I remember how we use to play b-ball under the bridge at the firehouse. I remember the 1st time we got drunk, I thought your mother was going to kill me. Mrs. Ruano, Carolyn, Amy & Family, John will always be remembered. You are all in my thoughts & prayers.

We are so sorry for the loss of our dear friend and buddy John, we love and will miss you , but will always remember your good spirit and wonderful smile and crazy laugh. Loved that you were a huge chiefs fan and always talked about going to the games and taking a vacation day afterward. We knew John when he started at Burd & Fletcher on the westside off Broadway. Amy, I am so very sad to hear about your husband & I cannot imagine how you & your sons & family must be feeling right now.  Please know you are all in my heart, thoughts, & prayers, & I am wishing you all peace & relief from the pain that you're feeling right now.  I am hoping the happiness of his memory brings you all great joy soon & replaces the grief that you all are feeling now.  I can tell he was a wonderful man, husband, & father, & I am sending a big hug to you at this difficult time.  I miss seeing you, & again, I am so very, very sorry for your loss.

My sympathy and prayers are with John & Amy's family, his mom Mary and sister Carolyn. Memories of John, a friend and classmate, are those of fun times playing basketball with the guys at recess, after school games of HORSE with me, throwing a football around on Monitor and a group of us often in a game of keep-away with my green NERF football. :) A kind, responsible big brother to Carolyn and respectful son to Mary. I can still picture him as a grade school friend hanging around with Joe, wearing NFL jackets, light-blue shirt, dark blue slacks, schoolbooks in hand. :) Always a smile and that giggly laugh of his. A kind- hearted and happy friend is how I'll always remember John. God bless him and the Ruano family.

From playing together as children with his Tyco cars, messing with his Grandma's bird to teenagers playing 3&2 Baseball, John was always a good friend, competitor and threw a great fastball.  Always enjoyed catching him when he pitch.

I am sorrowful from learning that John Ruano suddenly passed away. Why life works this way is a mystery, though it is part of the cycle of life.
My sympathy, love and prayers are with you, Carolyn, Mary, Christian, Samuel and family, as you make your way through the challenging times ahead.  The strength and love of his family places greater peace within knowing he was a part of a caring family such as yours. I am sorry for you lost and pasting of JP. JP I were friends from birth we grow up on the Westside on best street on the westside Jarboe! Riding are big wheels playing foottball ,homerun derby! I will always call him JP and I hope he will always call John-John. Rest in peace my friend.

I remember going to watch the Kansas City Kings back in the day, and we would take Carolyn with us to ask the players for autographs.
I have alot of great memories of us playing baseball and watching, then going out and imitating our favorite players and will always remember our softball days and traveling. My heart feels your pain Carolyn and family.

I will remember John with nothing but fun memories going back to grade school and all of us going to the Chiefs games with Robert and all of us and all the times at Aunt Debbie and Rob's house.   He was somebody that you could call a true friend to everybody and those are hard to come by.  My heart goes out to all of his family and can't imagine what you are going through but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers today!  I will miss our Chiefs buddy!!  May you RIP....you will be greatly missed by all!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss and my deepest condolences to you and your family.  John and I went to grade school together at OLA.  The news of his passing was a tremendous shock.  The grade school picture is how I remember him--always smiling and full of mischief!  I never knew our birthdays were only three days apart--it's now something I'll never forget.  Rest in peace, John.  You will be remembered dearly by many.
