Joni M. Seiffert

Joni Seiffert (née Muncy), age 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 14, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas. Born on July 11, 1953, Joni lived a life marked by deep faith, enduring love for her family, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Joni is lovingly remembered by her daughter Carly Seiffert and her son Allen Seiffert and his wife Cory Meredith. She was a proud and doting grandmother to her five grandchildren: Jordyn and Macy (daughters of Carly), Josie and Gracie (daughters of Allen), and her only grandson Jayden (son of Allen). Her family was the center of her world, and she poured herself into their lives with unwavering support and affection.

Joni is also survived by her sister Jenny Hite and nephew John; her brother Jerry Muncy and his wife Mary; and nephew Josh. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Carly M. Hall and nephew Chad Donaldson.

Joni’s life was a testament to resilience. Through many hardships, she never lost her unwavering faith or her loving spirit. Her personal relationship with God was evident not only in words but in the way she lived—always kind, supportive, loving, and offering a non-judgmental ear to anyone in need. Her actions reflected a quiet strength rooted in compassion.

She had a curious mind and a joyful heart. Joni loved rock collecting and bird watching, especially her beloved hummingbirds—finding beauty in nature’s small wonders. Antiquing brought her joy as she uncovered treasures from the past, while reading and crosswords kept her sharp-minded. She especially loved traveling, with road trips being among her favorite adventures.

Those who knew Joni will remember her intelligence, quick wit, sense of humor, and deep love for her animals. Her warmth radiated through every interaction, whether offering wise counsel or simply sharing a laugh.
