 To Joyce, Joe and Pat, we were so sad to hear of your loss.  Ed was a great  man, husband, father and friend -- no greater praise can be earned in this life. We loved our time as neighbors in Mt. Lebanon.  Because of the winding street we lived on, we looked at the backs of each other's houses. When  we  decorated our back deck with lights one Christmas, it got Ed's competitive juices flowing and he issued a challenge to see whose display was better. We got trounced - Ed had lights everywhere and moving reindeer all over the yard (although Joe and our daughter Ellen put the reindeer in  compromising positions.) We had lots of good times and laughs with Ed and will miss him greatly. Kevin and Mari Abbott

My husband, Dan built Ed and Joyce's house here in Kansas City.  What a pleasure it was working with them.  Ed and Joyce quickly became friends.  Sharing meals with us, and taking time to get to know our kids... what a lovely couple.  Ed will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  The Rowe Family

Fornadel family, 

You welcomed us with open hearts when we moved in next door. Excellent neighbors and wonderful people. You helped tremendously with getting us acclimated to KC and who to contact for various things. Ed was always friendly and willing to lend a hand, a tool, or some muscle to help scoop snow. We are fortunate to have met Ed.

Ed will always have a special place in my heart and memory. He was a source of inspiration and a person whose temperament could instill confidence and patience as he tuned our Rockhurst eMBA team towards success throughout the rigor of our 2-year program.  I remember always making him laugh with my Gelato and coffee references and can picture him smiling down on us now.  I feel blessed to have been able to get to know him and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Simply a blessing to have known Ed, a good man and a great friend.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you Joyce and family.

We are fortunate to share a fence: Eddie your stories, advice, family celebrations, laughter, wonderful holidays, and memories will be with us always.

Ed and I did our eMBA together at Rockurst University, I called Ed as the Perfect of Discipline',  he is usually first to the class and the last man to walk out, he prepares well for each class and makes beautiful notes for each session, he helped others by distributing his great notes and always cared for others in class.  I am shattered and heartbroken hearing this. I can only take comfort in God's providence and understand we are meant for eternal life. RIP Ed  Anthony Puthoor

Joyce and family, I'm so sad to hear of Ed's passing.  I worked as his travel agent for 10 years.  He is an amazing and kind man.  Working with him was an honor.  I will greatly miss him! Prayers for you all.

Today I am celebrating Ed & the fact that Wofford College brought our families together. I have many fond memories of tailgating and games. The blessings that continue are the lifelong friendship that our son's share. May the grace and peace of our Lord wrap you in His comfort!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  While it has been over 30 years since we've connected, I can tell you my memories of "Eddie" will always include a smile, remembering his sincere and  genuine nature.  Mike, just heariing the Fornadel name brings back very fond memories of innocent times running the streets of Stone Harbor with you and your brother.

Ed and Joyce were great friends in high school and I was fortunate to go to WVU with Ed as well.  He was a non nonsense guy who laughed loud and hard. Dave and I were sad to hear of his passing tonight and will pray for the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Eddie was a great kid in our neighborhood. My memories of kick the can in "the circle". Softball behind the Piersons and riding bikes all include Eddie Fornadel.
