Joseph Michael Quinn

Joseph Michael Quinn of Lenexa, KS, 69, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2016. A memorial service is planned for 6:00 pm Saturday, January 7th, at KC Racquet Club, 6501 E. Mike grew up in Bethel Park, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. He attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH, and thereafter taught biology and science in Pittsburgh area schools. Mike had a gift for teaching. He also had a passion for playing tennis. He combined those talents and began a career lasting 35 years as a tennis instructor and coach of high school and college teams. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and winning smile impacted so many people. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Helen Quinn and his brother James "J.J." Quinn. He is survived by his children Brian Quinn (Christie); Jennifer Wolff (Orie); brother Tim (Maria); sisters Kathleen Kotula (Pete); Patricia Volpatti (Tim); sister-in-law Tammy Quinn; grandchildren Ashleigh, Natilee, Rachel, and Evan; and 7 nieces and nephews.
