After having a great weekend, Joyce's health took a turn for the worse and she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Joyce is a native of the Kansas City area. Even though she has lived out in the country for the past 17 years, a lot of her accomplishments happened in the city. Joyce was a proud graduate of Paseo High School where she accomplished a great many things and enjoyed being a part of about every club available.
This is where she met the love of her life, Pete. They were married April 11, 1959. After a few years they bought their first house in Raytown, MO. and lived there for the next 42 years.
Joyce enjoyed many things like bowling and artwork. She was very passionate about drawing and extremely gifted at it. She also really enjoyed talk radio.
Her main focus though was always the family. Joyce always put the needs of the family first and it was everything to her and that focus didn't change her entire life. Joyce worked side by side with Pete in the Masonry business that they owned. She was the corporate secretary and handled a wide variety of jobs.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Pete. She is survived by her son Robert (Donna), grandson Sean (Nichole) and her great-grandchildren Victoria and Carolina, sister Jean Galloway and sister-in-law Nancy (Charley) Twilley and many other extended family members.
