Joyce was born in Platte City, MO on February 8th, 1939 to Alva and Lorrene Naylor. She married Donald Parrett on January 14th, 1956, this union was blessed with three sons and one daughter. An avid gardner and homemaker, Joyce helped Donald with his service station for 37 years, raised her children and delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceeded in death by her parents, Alva and Lorene Naylor. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Donald, three sons Greg, Kent, and Roger Parrett and one daughter Nancy Downing, two brothers Joe and Jack Naylor and numberous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements and cremation will be handled by McGilley Antioch Chapel, Kansas City, MO. A memorial service celebrating Joyce's life will be held from 10am-4pm, Saturday, June 21st, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's name to Northcare Hospice.
