Judith was the youngest of 5 siblings and raised in a Catholic family. She would often tell her granddaughters stories about her antics with the sisters who taught her classes while in Catholic school to make them laugh. Growing up, she participated in many forms of art such as dancing (ballet) and dabbled in acting which led to being cast in musicals, one of which was broadcasted on television. She also enjoyed camping and traveling. She would often send postcards from wherever she'd traveled. When she was in her 20's she was hired at Michigan Bell as a switchboard operator. She continued to work her way through the company in various positions and locations, one being at the garage for Southwestern Bell. She was able to retire a little early as an engineer from AT&T in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. She was very proud to be a retiree from the "telephone company" and spoke highly of her career all her life. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter Catherine and new granddaughter Crystal.
Judith's love for dancing was passed down to her daughter and eventually to both her granddaughters. She treasured watching them all on stage dancing in their various disciplines over the years. She cherished spending time with her family, as family meant everything to her . She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and creating fun things in her later years. She would often bake sweets and take them to her local fire department. She was an active member of the Pioneers, a volunteer network and an active member of the Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed meeting up with her fellow members monthly to catch up and show off her new hats she would create.
She is survived by her daughter Catherine (Paul) Blood, granddaughters Crystal (Clint) Keller and Sherrie Baldus all of Kansas City, Missouri. Her great-grandchildren include Sonny-Ann and Sloan Bruntmyer, Callen and Charlotte Keller.
