Julia Mary Trott passed away April 13, 2013. She was born in 1917 in Kansas City, Missouri to James and Elva Nelson. Even though they attended Paseo High School, she was first introduced to her future husband, Paul V. Trott, by her future sister-in-law Dora Trott on a blind date. They married in August of 1940. She was employed at an insurance company in downtown Kansas City. She was a longtime member of Colonial Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday school and helped in the office with the church’s monthly publication, Connections.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband in 2001. She is survived by her sons Paul, Jr. and Gary Trott; her sister Eleanor Johnson; many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64114, would be appreciated.
