

Karen Natkowski Boulware, 65 of Kansas City, Missouri passed away after a courageous fight with cancer on May 10, 2011 at 3:40 AM. Karen was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 2, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Rachael Natkowski. She attended Hinsdale High School and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. She began her career in education in the North Kansas City School District, transferred to the Shawnee Mission School District and has spent the last 35 years as a physical education teacher and coordinator with Pembroke Hill School. Karen is survived by her two wonderful daughters, Stacey Boulware of Atlanta, Georgia and Amy Boulware of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, two sisters, Dianne Purcell and Audrey Randolf of Chicago, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her many friends for their support and love and the excellent caregivers at John Knox Hospice for their expert and compassionate care during her illness. A memorial service will be held at Community Christian Church at 4601 Main, Kansas City, MO 64112 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011. There will be a celebration of life lunch immediately following the service at the church.
