Kathleen Loeta Stout Cooper of Shreveport, Louisiana, formerly of the Kansas City area, passed away August 12, 2010, 11 days away from her 89th birthday. Kathleen was born on August 23, 1921 in Stockton, Kansas. Preceding her in death is her beloved husband Meryl Cooper, her parents Walter T. and Hollis (Campbell) Stout, sister Juanita Stout, and brother Wayne Stout. Left to cherish her memories will be her son Daryl and wife Jean of Shreveport, granddaughters Michelle Wagley and husband Ronnie of Shreveport, and Jennifer Humphrey of St. Louis, Missouri, and six great-grandchildren. Kathleen had been an usher for the Shreveport Little Theatre, Shreveport Symphony, and the Strand. She had also been a member of the Women’s Department Club. Kathleen loved to travel, see and meet people. She was always volunteering wherever she could. The family would like to express special thanks to Chris Bihm, the nursing staff and care givers of The Guest House in Shreveport. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, followed by graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South.
