Kathleen Marie Herbert

Born October 31, 1958, Kathy was the eldest daughter of the late Robert Dreiling and Shirley Platt. She is survived by her siblings Carrie Williams, Mike Dreiling, and Margie Studenny, and was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Dreiling.

Kathy was a devoted mother to her children: Tom Williamson (and his wife Sayde Gutierrez-Salcido), Elizabeth Herbert, and her stepchildren Dustin Herbert and Erin Herbert. She was preceded in death by her son Andy Williamson and stepson Dan Herbert, losses she carried with quiet grace and unwavering faith.

Those who knew Kathy knew her authenticity - she was exactly who she was, with no pretense. Her humor could light up a room, and her compassion extended to everyone she met, especially to animals, a love she instilled deeply in her children. Throughout her life, Kathy leaned on her Catholic faith, finding solace in prayer during life's most difficult moments.

Her memory will live on in the kindness, laughter, and authenticity she shared with those fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, at St. Thomas More Parish, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, beginning at 10:00 am, with a eulogy at 10:25 am and Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.
