Katie B. (Ben) McMunn, 95, of Independence, MO passed away September 9, 2016. Visitation will be 10am, followed by funeral services at 11am, Friday, September 16, 2016 at McGilley Sheil Chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Katie was born August 2, 1921 in Baxter County, AR, daughter of William Henry and Mary Barton Caststeel. Katie was in nursing for 60 years, 50 years serving in Missouri. She received a certificate from the State Board of Nursing for 50 years of service in Missouri.
Katie is survived by her son, Sammy R. Ben and daughter, Mary Margaret Tackett; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren. Online condolences may be made at www.mcgilleysheil.com.
