Kenneth Robert "Bob" Wilcox, 85, of Wheatland, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 27th, 2020. He was preceded in death by Jacquelyn L. "Jackie" Wilcox, his beloved wife of 53 years, both parents, and his siblings: Eva Haynes Hernandez, Pearl Inez Workman, Arnell Reinhard, Charles, Bill and David Wilcox along with several nieces and nephews. He is survived by daughter, Connie Sue Wilcox and her husband Danny C. Pendleton and his much adored grandson, Danny Robert Pendleton.
Bob was born March 20, 1935 in Tracy City, Tennessee to Dora M. (Pawdee) and Myrtle M. (Granny) Wilcox who later moved the family to Kansas City, Missouri. He joined the United States Navy in 1953 and served during the Korean War and then joined the Kansas City Missouri Fire Department in 1957 where he rose in rank to Battalion Chief until he retired in 1993 then moving to Wheatland area. Bob was a member of the VFW, Masonic Blue Lodge and the Pomme de Terre Shrine Club and he enjoyed playing golf, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 5th, 2020 at 10:30am at Floral Hills, Blue Ridge & Gregory in Kansas City, Missouri with graveside to follow. Visitation will be the day before, Sunday, October 4th, 2020 from 5-7pm.
