Kent L Pritzel

Kent was born July 28, 1954 in Kansas City, MO to Arnold and Virginia Pritzel, who preceded him in death.

He attended Ruskin high school and UMKC, both in Kansas City, MO. Kent’s first job was with Henry’s Nursery in K.C., MO. While attending college, he worked for McDonalds and for a real estate investment group, eventually becoming a realtor and investor himself.

He was an account representative for Blue Valley Savings & Loan until he transitioned to the Resolution Trust Corporation where he worked in Kansas City, MO and Ottumwa, IA. Kent helped many people find their perfect home when he worked for Ruth Fuller and Caldwell Banker as a real estate agent. He also enjoyed his time as a tax preparer at H & R Block, and somehow found the time to help family and friends by preparing their taxes as well.

Kent was very active in his congregation at Peace Lutheran Church, Kansas City, MO. He held several positions on the church counsel over the years including vice president, treasurer, secretary and board of evangelism to name a few. He was devout in his faith and generous with his time and talents. He enjoyed working and had a plethora of interests but his family and church came first. He took care of his widowed mother for years and gladly helped other family members when assistance of any kind was needed.

Kent enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, family reunions, and reading, frequently quoting from the books he read.

Kent is survived by his brothers, Robin Pritzel (Melinda), Scott Pritzel (Marla), sister Joy Krumm (Jeff), nephews Keith Pritzel, Collin Pritzel, Clay Pritzel, and Alec Krumm, and nieces Amber Krumm-Musgrove (Devan), April Krumm, and Madilyn Pritzel.

Visitation and Service will take place at the Peace Lutheran Church Friday July 12th. Address: 8240 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138. Visitation will be 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Service will be at 10:30. Burial to follow at Mt Hulda Cemetery in Cole Camp,MO Address is 22303 Mount Hulda Ave, Cole Camp, MO 65325
