I have done Larry & Nancy’s taxes for years. I always enjoyed my time spent with Larry while we were preparing the taxes. The many stories he told me over the year….from his days at KCPD to Vietnam to how well organized he was with all his tax documents! Larry had every single deductions down to the cent! Larry I will sure miss our conversations 😞 Rest in Peace 

Nancy, just want to say how much it meant to me that my mother was adopted by you and Larry the sharing of birthdays together. She would tell me about how Larry would call, or meet her at Chubby's for lunch or coffee. He was so helpful, and caring  as she  declined  in years. He was there for me when I needed to take charge due to her health needs. Glad he enjoyed the deer head over the years. Recently found 3 pictures of it when it was first sighted dated 1941.
Wish I had found them earlier to give him. Just learned of your loss. 
You are in my prayers and thoughts right now. Will remember you both when Mom's birthday rolls around too.
Larry will be missed, but bet he and Mom will be having a regular visit up there. She would have had a happy smile on her face seeing  him again.

Nancy and family,
I just now discovered that Larry has left us. My heart is broken.
Larry and I went back to the beginning at the police department. We worked together, trained together, raised our dogs together and spent off- hours enjoying each other’s company.
Although Larry and I communicated little in recent years, he had my respect and admiration. I will always remember my friend coldly and hold him in my heart.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. SGT Wilson was a dedicated and pivotal member of the 205th Military Police at Ft Leavenworth and I had the honor to serve alongside him from 1969-1971. My sister Linda three years old so I was six years old. I have a video that shows the rest of the Wilsons but it’s too grainy. We grew up poor but it was one of the best decades of my life I will forever remember the Wilson’s so much like family to me   May both Dennis and Larry the rest in peace until we meet again.

This is me probably at six because my sister Linda looks like she’s three. We grew up poor in Raytown Missouri but it’s one of the best times of my life I had such a wonderful childhood  it will always be remembered with the Wilson‘s.

Larry may have been taking the picture. I see Dennis I see Ralph and Dougie and my mom and dad and I think that’s me with the ponytail and my grandma over to the right. We had the best barbecues in our yard I had young parents mother had me when she was 17 so kids came from all over the neighborhood on our Fourth of July‘s to have our picnics and fireworks everybody loved my mom and dad. I fondly remember the Wilsons every Fourth of July. 

Nancy this is a picture taken at my grandmas when I visited Kansas City over 40 years ago. I remember my mother and I visiting you and Larry on your back patio. You have a beautiful home. When I recently came across this picture and shared it with Larry he said wow I’ve never let a girl get that close to my gun LOL Larry was much like a brother to me and I will miss him very much. maybe Rest In Peace. Nancy when Larry was so happy that the Chiefs won the Super Bowl he shared this ring with me. My husband and I enjoyed our texts back-and-forth when the Chiefs played. My husband a football enthusiast because his son is a high school football coach taught me how to love football. I will miss watching the chiefs with Larry and my husband. God bless. Nancy I was in shock when you conveyed Larry‘s passing to me. I’m not able to post a video because it’s not clear very grainy an 8 mm transferred to a DVD. It was when Larry was probably about nine because I was six years old taken with both of our parents had a picnic in our yard. That’s how my siblings and Larry and Dennis grew up with us. Playing hide and go seek riding bikes together red rover red rover you name all the games we played back in the 50s that was us That’s how far we go back to when we were born. Larry has always been one of my best friends someone I could go to in spiritual need because he always comforted me. I will miss him. I will be praying for you as you go through your period of mourning. As I continue my grieving as well having lost my husband last month. I know Larry will always be with you in your heart and looking down from above protecting you still. May God bless you and may he give you the strength to endure the weeks and months ahead. I miss you honey.  The house is quiet except for the occasional sounds  from outside.  I miss our short rides and rainbow sherbert ice cream cones.  We laughed at the many stores you told and how you would start to laugh and could barely finish them.  Your laugh was infectious and made us laugh more.  You are forever loved by those who knew you and called you friend.  May God take care of you now.  With love, Nancy.

I have known Larry for about 65 years. We were neighbors for many years growing up and I have so many fun memories of him.  He was one of the nicest people you would ever want to know.   Also, very devoted to our beautiful country and committed to serve the people in the community.    I feel very blessed that we were able to visit with him and Nancy at an event less than a year ago.   We had planned to get together again, but I guess we waited too long.   Larry will be missed by many!

Larry, a friend I met right out of the academy. What a genuinely "good guy" who could tell a story like no other. Great memories of Robbery Unit fishing trips, have his "comb over" blown off his head and his love of fast "cop cars." He hated ALL the Unit's assigned 1984 Ford Fairmounts. No doubts, he bitched every time saying, "COULDN'T GET OFF A PIECE OF BUBBLE GUN". God has slowed the CRUISER for a job well done. RIP Larry

Thank you Larry for serving our country. Because of your service we can all live our lives in freedom and peace.Also thank you for being a "POLICE OFFICER".
God bless you for taking care of our country and for all the sacrifices you have made for our country; for me and for all of us. And for all the sacrifices you have made for being a police officer who took care of our city and for keeping everyone safe.

Larry, my ‘Big Brother’ and his family have been in my and my family’s lives for more than 60 years.  His mom, Dougie, and mine were best friends and the family was  there for us at our most difficult time.  He and my husband were in the same Police Academy class and upon graduation Larry was assigned to serve under my father-in-law.  He was one of the most loyal, kind, thoughtful, and totally “straight arrows” of all.  We are so very thankful for our many memories.  He will be greatly missed but always remembered.
