Louis H. Stine, 90, Kansas City North, passed away April 25, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday April 30 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, where a rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Grace Hospice.
Louis was born Jan. 6, 1924 to Arthur and Mary Stine and was a life-long resident of Kansas City. On Oct. 18, 1947 he married Regina A. Menor, his devoted partner of 66 years. Together they raised five children.
Upon graduation from East High School, Louis became an apprentice plumber and retired as Assistant to the General President of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters in the United States and Canada, a 73 year membership. He was also a member of St Therese’s Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arthur.
Survivors include his children, Deborah A. Bretz, Gregory L. (Michelle) Stine, Douglas A. (Diane) Stine, Nancy M. Nichols, and David A. (Cheryl) Stine, all of the Kansas City area; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Gregory L. Stine, Jr., Christopher D. (Tracy) Stine, Alisha (Danny) Zian, Aaron Bretz, Olivia Stine, Coty Nichols, Lindsey Stine, Samantha Stine, and Hannah Stine; and three great grandchildren, Parker Stine, Ryann Stine and Garrett Louis Stine.
