

Lynn Margaret Callahan, 76, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on February 5, 2026, at Morningside Place of Overland Park. She was born on June 17, 1949, in Syracuse, New York, to Stuart Alexander and Ann Reed, who preceded her in death.
Lynn attended Kansas State College of Pittsburg and later made her home in Kansas, where she was an active member of Nall Avenue Baptist Church. She played in the handbell choir and sang in the church choir, sharing her lifelong passion for music with her congregation, siblings, and children.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Rusty Callahan; her children, Sean Callahan, Melanie Bousman, and Megan Callahan; and several beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by 9 younger siblings. She also leaves behind many friends and extended family who will remember her warmth and spirit.
As an animal lover, Lynn loved horses and her dogs. She enjoyed attending concerts, and spending time out enjoying life with her husband and her daughter, Megan. She appreciated the finer things in life and was known for her beautiful smile, her perfect eyebrows, and her laugh. Above all, she will be remembered as a beautiful person who brought joy, laughter, and music into the lives of those around her.
A celebration of Lynn's life will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 2 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A visitation will be held for 30 minutes prior to the service.
