

Macaria Chacon, 86, of Kansas City, Kansas died on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the home of her daughter surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Holy Name Church, Southwest Boulevard and Iowa Street. Burial will be in Forest Hill/Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.
Macaria was born on February 28, 1925 to Refugio and Delfina (Aguilar) Gonzales. During her working years, Macaria worked at the Alameda Plaza, KC Club, Sunflower Ammunition Plant, National Bellahas and Auto-mat-tic Food Vendors. Macaria was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Robert Gonzalez; father, Refugio Gonzales; mother, Delfina Aguilar; step-father, Cipriano Aguilar; brothers, Felix, Incarnacio, Johnnie; sisters, Tomasa, Romada, Luz, Isidora, Conception; and grandson, Manuel Joseph Perez. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Juan Chacon; 11 children, Guadalupe (Frank) Montes, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Romero, John (Rosemary) Chacon, David Chacon, Virginia Chacon, Mr. and Mrs. Joey Montoya, Linda Gonzales, Mary Gonzales, Michael (Elizabeth) Gonzales, Gloria ( Pablo) Baeza and Robert Chacon; 27 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
