Madonna J Shreve Johnson

She moved with her mother and sister to Kansas City during her junior high years and graduated from Northeast High School in 1947.

Mom passed on January 15, 2026. She was preceded in death by brother Wayland Pittman 1926, father 1948, mother 1996 and her sister Anna Ruth Laier 2012.

She married LeRoy Eugene Shreve in 1948, who preceded her in death in August 1990. She later married Norman A. Johnson in March of 2001 who also preceded her in death in January of 2025. She retired from the Raytown School District in 1995. She held various positions at Raytown South High School. She always enjoyed her coworkers and students but also appreciated being off during the summer to spend time with her family.

Madonna June Pittman Shreve Johnson, as she called herself the last few years, always had a positive outlook on life as she was always laughing and had a smile on her face. Mom was certain she knew everyone or at least thought she did. Mom was a meticulous dresser and always wanting to look her best.

Mom leaves behind a tremendous legacy as she poured her heart and soul into her family. Her daughter Becky Ann Gray from Grain Valley, and her son Scott (Lynda) Shreve from Lees Summit. She had four grandchildren Stephen (Melinda) Gray, Erin (Chris) Brown, Conner Shreve and Derek (Samantha) Shreve. She also had five great grandchildren Savannah and Olivia Brown, Gabrielle Gray, Miller Thomas and Camie Barrett. And two great grandsons Leo and Maverick.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133) from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

A funeral service will follow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 10:00 AM.

The graveside service will be at Floral Hills Cemetery (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133) at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

We will conclude with a reception at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 11:45 AM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
