Marcia Carol Slimm

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marcia Carol Slimm, who passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on March 25, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 24, 1935, Marcia was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Marcia came from a wonderfully large family, which included ten siblings; she enjoyed being a daughter in the middle of the sizable brood.

Marcia fell in love at the age of 17 with the love of her life, Phillip Slimm. They were married on May 1, 1954 and were never apart until his death. Their deep commitment to one another was evident throughout their lives, as they remained inseparable until his passing. Phillip and Marcia brought four adored children into the world that they loved and protected without measure.

A true force of nature, she found joy in golfing, gardening, painting, and entertaining. She spent her life creating a warm, welcoming home and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.

Marcia is survived by her children, Christopher (Cindy) Slimm, Cindy (Bruce) Stearns, Victor (Julie) Slimm, Matthew (Holly Brucker) Slimm, her grandchildren, Carly Slimm, Mark, Phillip, and Jacob Slimm, great-granddaughter, Chloe, and a wide circle of friends and family who loved her dearly.

We will celebrate her remarkable life at a private ceremony.
