Margaret "Peggy" Ann McGinnis

Margaret “Peggy” Ann McGinnis, 72, Kansas City North, passed away June 24, 2017 at NorthCare Hospice House. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 29th, visitation from 12:00-2:00 PM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to Cancer Research Institute.

Peggy was born December 20, 1944 to William Martin and Virginia Ester (Gross) Carroll in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was a 60 year resident of Kansas City. Peggy was a 1963 graduate of Redemptorist High School. She married Michael P. Shafer in 1963. He preceded her in death in 1970. She married Terry McGinnis in 1972. Peggy retired from Mid-Continent Public Library, Parkville Branch. She was a member of her beloved Knitting Night Club. Peggy loved the soap General Hospital, puzzles, Dana and Parks radio show, Real Housewives of ……., movies, music, parties, family, knitting and laughter.

Survivors include her husband, Terry McGinnis; 3 children, Debra (James) Martin, Susan (Jon) Wilson, Erin Dunivan; grandchildren, Bradley Dunivan, Cooper Dunivan and Allyson Dunivan; 7 siblings, William M. (Sue) Carroll, Jr., Mary Barney, Jane Bollard, Dan (Diane) Carroll, John Carroll, Robert Carroll, and Timothy (Robin) Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.
