Margo Joy McBeth, 75, of Independence, Missouri (formerly of Kansas City and Raytown, Missouri), passed away on March 23, 2026, at Kansas City Hospice House. Margo was born on March 22, 1951, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In the summer of 1951, Margo’s family moved to Raytown, Missouri. Margo grew up there attending Blue Ridge and Robertson Elementary Schools, Raytown Junior High, and graduated from Raytown High School in 1969.
Then, she attended Central Missouri State University for two years. In her youth, she was active in Camp Fire Girls and Job’s Daughters Bethel 55. During her time with these organizations, she was an active drill team member.
Margo worked at several companies and retired from the IRS in 2016. Margo was also a past worthy matron of East Gate Chapter 367 Order of the Eastern Star.
Margo was preceded in death by her father and mother, Donald and Florene McBeth, her brother, Donald McBeth Jr. and brother-in-law, Michael Carpenter.
She is survived by her sister Pamela (McBeth) Carpenter, sister in law, Jane (Barne) McBeth, and six nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133, US, on March 30, 2026, at 11:00 am.
