

Marilyn was born on November 27, 1943, to Robert and Helen Manley. She attended and graduated from the Raytown schools. Marilyn wed Joseph Paul Reffitt on July 15, 1962. She and Paul lived in and around the Raytown area where they raised their four boys. Marilyn was employed as a pharmacy technician in Raytown for over 20 years.
In her younger years, Marilyn liked to go out dancing and she won some local dance competitions. She also spent her time baking and decorating cakes. Marilyn always enjoyed time that she got to spend with her family. She liked having everyone over and she’d make a big batch of spaghetti or chicken and noodles. She was a devoted grandmother to eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Manley.
She is survived by her husband Paul, of the home; sister Janet Sanders of Leonardtown, MD; brother, Robert (Karen) Manley of Shawnee, KS; her sons Terry (Cindy) Reffitt of Buffalo, MO, Phillip (Jennifer) Reffitt of Raytown, MO, Kevin (Kathleen) Reffitt of Independence, MO, and Chris Reffitt of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Crossroads Hospice, Kansas City, MO.
