A visitation for Mario will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 Northeast Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 PM.
Mario was born August 15, 1954 to Virginia Paz-Mendoza and Juan G. Meneses in Mexico City, Mexico. He attended Lillis HIgh School in Kansas City and following graduation joined the United States Army-101st Airborne Division. He was married to Rachel Lopez for 45 years. Mario worked for the United States Postal Service for more than 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his extended postal service family, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and loved his two dogs Queenie and Lyla.
Mario was preceded in death by his father, Juan Meneses; his wife, Rachel Meneses; his son, Dominic Meneses; his grandson, Dominic Vargas-Meneses; and his brother, Manuel Meneses.
Survivors include son, Jason Meneses; grandsons, Ruben Vargas and Jacob Meneses; his mother, Virginia Meneses; his siblings, Estella Paz, Guillermo Meneses (spouse, Kim), John Meneses, Miguel Meneses (spouse, Maria Teresa), Alicia Meneses and Susie Meneses (spouse, Robert Torres).
