Mark Slate

Mark was known for his love of family, especially his cherished moments spent skating with his daughter. Whether at Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun, he found happiness in making memories with his loved ones. His infectious spirit and laughter were always present during family outings, and his enthusiasm for life never wavered.

Mark loved being involved in church activities and dedicated much of his time to supporting others. His commitment to kindness, service, and faith was evident in all areas of his life.

In his professional career, Mark was a proud team lead at GM Motors, where he was known for his leadership, dedication, and strong work ethic. His colleagues respected him not only for his skills but for his warm and approachable nature.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Mark is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Judy Slate; brothers: Christopher Jameson, Daniel Slate and Brian Slate; and his daughter, Isabella Slate.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, with service to begin at 2pm, followed by burial and Celebration of Life, on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family for his daughter, Isabella.
