Martin F. “Chito” Vargas, 50 of Kansas City, KS died March 19, 2016 in Columbia, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Sacred Heart/Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2544 Madison, KCMO. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 am at the church.
Chito was born July 15, 1965 to Margarito and Josefina Vargas. Chito was a forklift operator for Cross Midwest Tire Company. His hobby of late was being a balloon artist.
He was preceded in death by his father. Chito’s survivors include his son, Lance David Vargas; five brothers, Samuel Vargas, Sr. (Virginia), Oscar Vargas, Mario Vargas (Laura), Hector Vargas and Cesar Vargas (Nancy) ; eight sisters, Luz Elena Melton, Alma Stevens ( Edwin), Lilia Grado (Robert, Jr.), Rosa Martinez (Ramon, Sr. ), Elva Hernandez (Gregorio), Elida Paredes (Ralph Sr.), Martha Newman and Bertha Bogart ( Andrew, Sr.); several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.
