She worked at Sunshine Biscuits for 35 years until she retired in 1988.
Her hobbies included bowling, BINGO, doing word searches while watching cooking shows, taking walks with George and enjoying the occasional beer at Miss Kitty’s Bar. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and hosted wonderful Thanksgiving dinners.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years George “Shorty” Davis, her siblings and her two daughters Sandra and Barbara.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Judy Tendick and her son, Jerald Wright as well as 7 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Providence Place Nursing Home for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Mt Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Saturday June 24th to begin at 4:00 PM. Please wear pink to celebrate what would have been Mary’s 97th birthday.
