Mary Ann Johnson

Sunrise: September 27, 1934

Sunset: May 13, 2025

Was born to Mr. & Mrs. William Bailey Sr. One of nine sisters and two brothers. She left Atlanta, GA and moved to Columbus, Ohio.

On September 16, 1952, she married Maynard Johnson Sr. In that union seven children were born. Maynard Johnson Sr. preceded his wife in death on April 14, 1973. She was an avid baker and worked at St. Luke's Hospital as foreman in the bake shop until she retired.

Mary Ann loved to cook and bake for her family, "Because loving her family was like food to her soul."

She leaves to mourn her passing son Maynard Johnson Jr, daughter Kathy Morgan (son-in-law Anthony Morgan Sr.), son Wayne Q. Johnson, son Christopher Johnson, daughter Denise Johnson, son-in-law James Berryman, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Berryman and son Gregory Johnson.

Don't cry for me. I will be okay. Heaven is my home now, and this is where I'll stay.

Don't cry for me. It was just my time, but I will see you someday on the other side.

Don't cry for me. I am not alone. The Angels are with me to welcome me home.

Don't cry for me, for I have no fear. All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears.

Don't cry for me. This is not the end. I'll be waiting here for you when we meet again.
