She was born December 23, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Harry W. and Elizabeth G. Conroy. Mary Ann attended Bishop Hogan High School, Kansas City, MO, class of 1954, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from UMKC. She taught early elementary grades in the Kansas City and Hickman Mills districts early in her career before finding her place at St Thomas More.
Mary Ann loved painting, gardening, country line dancing and spending time with her grandkids. She had a special love for her fur babies. Mary Ann was a member of the St. Thomas More Parish where she taught for almost 25 years.
Mary Ann is survived by her children: Anthony C Kubayko, Overland Park, KS, Therese K Wynne, Kansas City, MO (husband-Joseph), David W Kubayko, Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren: Melanie Rasmussen, Audrey Linke, Courtney Kubayko, Mikaela Wynne, Alexis Wynne, Margaret Kubayko, and Julianna Kubayko.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry W. and Elizabeth G. Conroy; and her husband Anthony (Bud) Kubayko.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021 with Rosary at 7:15 p.m. at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at St. Thomas More, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131; burial following at Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131.
