I had the pleasure of taking care of Mary and since I'm Catholic we talked about religion. She was very open with me about her faith and I was excited to know more about her.  She told me about the Memorare of St. Bernard and we both prayed it together. My name is Valarie and she said she had a neighbor growing up with the same name. I love dogs so when I was there I took Chris out from his kennel and took him in the garage while she slept. I played with him and he absolutely loved that. I was hoping I could go again to care for her and I wanted to know more about the saints and the prayers she could teach me. But was told from one of the other caregivers that she passed not too long after I was there. I'm so deeply sorry and if Ann (sister) could call me I would appreciate that. Thank you!
